HIDROSECUR D-46 is a hydraulic fluid composed of 
synthetic esters with a very high flash point, good 
lubricating properties and long life. 
Meets the requirements of ISO 6743/4 as a fire-resistant 
hydraulic fluid of the HFDU category. 
Flammability test: NF 48613, NBC 510/1970. 
The HIDROSECUR D-46 applications cover the entire 
field of hydraulic installations that work near a heat source 
and that a mineral oil leak could spread fire. 
HIDROSECUR D-46 is highly biodegradable so small 
leaks do not create environmental pollution problems in 
soils, aquifers, etc. 
As an example, some applications are detailed below: 
- Hot rolling mills. 
- Continuous casting. 
- Bullion conveyors. 
- Die casting of metals. 
- Forging, stamping and sintering presses. 
- Heat treatment furnaces. 
- Welding machines. 
- Forestry machinery. 
No special measures are required for handling this 
product. 
 
HIDROSECUR D-46 is compatible with most of the 
rubbers that make up the gaskets and seals of the circuits 
that work with mineral oil. Natural rubbers and 
polyurethane are not advisable. 
To use the HIDROSECUR D-46 in a circuit that has 
previously worked with mineral-type hydraulic oil, it is 
enough to proceed as follows: 
1. Empty the oil circuit and clean the tank, making sure 
that it is not painted inside. 
2. Remove the filters from the circuit. 
3. Fill the tank with HIDROSECUR D-46 to the 
minimum level for the circuit to work. 
4. Start the circuit by operating at low pressure, 
activating all movements, for 1 to 2 hours. 
5. Empty the HIDROSECUR D-46, put the filters, fill the 
tank with new HIDROSECUR D-46 and work under 
normal conditions. 
6. If a high degree of dirt is observed during the 
emptying of the previous point, repeat points 3, 4 
and 5.
